Abstract

The hairpiece comprises at least one layer or bundle (2) of parallel hairs and has hairs joined to each other one of their ends and provided with thermoplastics. The thermoplastics is fitted at least sectionally as a coating on a thread (3), which is connected to the layer or bundle of hair. The thread can also be completely coated with the thermoplastic. The thread is fitted on a surface formation (1), which is made of textile and preferably wide-meshed. The thread in itself forms a closed ring and is arranged in the edge area of the surface formation, to which it is woven or sewn. Several layers and/or bundles of hair are connected to a common thread.
