Abstract

Die Zwischenwand kann als Längswand (4) ausgeführt sein, die im wesentlichen parallel zu den Schenkeln (2) des U-Profils verläuft und von dessen Steg (3) absteht, oder sie kann auch als Querwand (8) ausgeführt sein, die im wesentlichen quer zu den Schenkeln (2) und senkrecht auf den Steg (3) des U-Profils verläuft und diese miteinander verbindet. Es können auch sowohl Längswände (4) als auch Querwände (8) vorgesehen sein. Fremdhaare (6) können in das Haarverbindungselement (9) entweder während der Fertigung oder in einem separaten Arbeitsgang in die Schenkel (2), die Längswand (4) oder auch in den Steg (3) eingebettet werden. <IMAGE>

Description

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein U-förmiges, thermoplastisches Haarverbindungselement. Solche Elemente sind in verschiedensten Varianten bereits bekannt. Die Schenkel des U-Profils sind dabei üblicherweise parallel zueinander und gerade; der sie verbindende Steg ist entweder gerade oder gebogen. In ein solches Element werden die Enden von Fremdhaaren eingebettet, u zw entweder in die Schenkel oder nur in den Steg oder sowohl in den Steg als auch in die Schenkel. Dies erfolgt zB durch Bestreichen mit dem oder Eintauchen der Haare in den erweichten Kunststoff mit anschließendem Verpressen in einer Form. Eine Vorfabrizierung des Haarverbindungselementes mit anschließendem Einpressen der Fremdhaarenden ist ebenfalls bekannt. Bei der Applikation einer mit dem U-förmigen, thermoplastischen Haarverbindungselement versehenen Fremdhaarsträhne am menschlichen Kopf wird eine Eigenhaarsträhne mit den Haarenden zwischen die Schenkel des U-Profils eingelegt und dieses sodann durch Ultraschall oder mittels einer Heizpinzette od dgl erwärmt und zusammengedrückt, so dass eine Schmelzklebeverbindung entsteht, deren Form von der Form der Greifelemente abhängt.
Erfahrungen bei der Verwendung solcher U-förmiger Haarverbindungselemente haben gezeigt, dass im Zuge der Schmelzklebung die Eigenhaare, aber auch die Fremdhaare, oft nicht genügend bzw. vollständig ummantelt werden, weshalb es insbesondere beim Kämmen zu einer Ablösung von Fremdhaaren kommt.
Ziel der Erfindung ist ein Haarverbindungselement, das den angeführten Nachteil nicht aufweist, also eine optimale Schmelzklebeverbindung gewährleistet.
Dieses Ziel wird mit einem U-förmigen, thermoplastischen Haarverbindungselement erfindungsgemäß dadurch erreicht, dass zwischen den Schenkeln des U-Profils wenigstens eine Zwischenwand vorgesehen ist.
Durch die Zwischenwand wird nicht nur insgesamt eine größere Materialmenge für die Schmelzklebung zur Verfügung gestellt, sondern auch in einen örtlichem Bereich, der bei den bisher bekannten U-förmigen Haarverbindungselementen materialfrei war. Die Durchdringung der Haarzwischenräume bzw die Ummantelung der zu verbindenden Fremd- und Eigenhaare ist dadurch verbessert.
Die Zwischenwand kann als Längswand ausgeführt sein, die im wesentlichen parallel zu den Schenkeln des U-Profils verläuft und von dessen Steg absteht. In eine derartige Längswand können zusätzlich zu den Schenkeln und/oder dem Steg des U-Profils auch Fremdhaare mit ihren Enden eingebettet werden, so dass pro Schmelzklebung eine dichtere Fremdhaarsträhne appliziert werden kann.
Die Zwischenwand kann aber auch als Querwand ausgeführt sein, die im wesentlichen quer zu den Schenkeln und senkrecht auf den Steg des U-Profils verläuft und diese miteinander verbindet. Diesfalls wird jede Querwand im Zuge des Zusammenpressens des Haarverbindungselementes bei der Schmelzklebung einem relativ stärkeren Druck ausgesetzt, so dass der erweichte Kunststoff die einzelnen Haarenden besonders gut umgibt.
Besonders bevorzugt ist eine Ausführungsform, bei der wenigstens zwei Zwischenwände vorgesehen sind, von denen wenigstens eine als zwischen den Schenkeln des U-Profils im wesentlichen parallel verlaufende und von dessen Steg abstehende Längswand und wenigstens eine als die Schenkel verbindende und senkrecht auf den Steg stehende Querwand ausgeführt ist. Diese Ausführungsform kombiniert die Vorteile von Längs- und Querwänden.
Es ist günstig, wenn jede Längswand die Schenkel überragt. Dies deshalb, weil bei der Applikation der mit dem Haarverbindungselement versehenen Fremdhaarsträhne am menschlichen Kopf eine geteilte Eigenhaarsträhne beidseits jeder Längswand in das U-Profil eingelegt wird. Beim anschließenden Zusammenpressen des Haarverbindungselementes trägt die vorspringende Längswand dominant zum Verschließen des zunächst offenen U-Profils bei, was eine sehr sichere Schmelzklebung ergibt.
Jede vorhandene Querwand sollte dagegen von den Schenkeln des U-Profils überragt werden, damit die Eigenhaare bei der Applikation der Fremdhaarsträhne sicher zwischen die Schenkel eingelegt und von diesen geführt werden können.
Die Erfindung wird im Folgenden anhand von in der Zeichnung dargestellten Ausführungsbeispielen näher erläutert. Es zeigen Fig. 1 ein erfindungsgemäßes U-förmiges, thermoplastisches Haarverbindungselement, Fig. 2 eine weitere Ausführungsform dieses Haarverbindungselementes mit bereits eingebetteten Fremdhaaren sowie die Fig. 3 und 4 weitere Ausführungsformen des Haarverbindungselementes mit eingebettem Fremdhaar.
Das U-förmige, thermoplastische Haarverbindungselement 1 gemäß Fig. 1 weist zwei parallele Schenkel 2 auf, die durch einen Steg 3 verbunden sind, welcher zB etwa halbkreisförmig gebogen ist. Vom Steg 3 steht eine als Längswand 4 ausgeführte Zwischenwand ab, die parallel zu den Schenkeln 2 verläuft und diese überragt. In die Schenkel 2, den Steg 3 und die Längswand 4 können Fremdhaare (nicht dargestellt) mit ihren Enden entweder im Zuge der Fertigung des Haarverbindungselementes 1 oder in einem separaten Arbeitsgang eingebettet werden. Bei der Applikation eines derartigen, mit einer Fremdhaarsträhne versehenen Haarverbindungselementes 1 am menschlichen Kopf wird eine Eigenhaarsträhne (nicht dargestellt) in die Zwischenräume zwischen den Schenkeln 2 und der Längswand 4 eingelegt. Danach wird das Haarverbindungselement 1 mit oder ohne Wärmeeinwirkung deformiert, wodurch es zu einer Schmelzklebung der Fremd- mit den Eigenhaaren kommt. Der Druck wird dabei primär auf den Steg und die vorspringende Längswand aufgebracht, so dass letztere in der Regel nach beiden Seiten fließt und die Eigenhaare gut umfängt.
In Fig. 2 ist ein Haarverbindungselement 5 mit bereits eingebetteten Fremdhaaren 6 dargestellt, das zwei Längswände 4 zwischen Schenkeln 2 aufweist und dessen Steg 3 gerade ist. Die Fremdhaare 6 sind jeweils mit ihren Enden in die Schenkel 2 und die Längswände 4 eingepreßt. Die Anwendung des Haarverbindungselementes 5 erfolgt wie vorhin in Bezug auf das Haarverbindungselement 1 beschrieben.
Fig. 3 zeigt ein Haarverbindungselement 7 mit drei als Querwände 8 ausgeführten Zwischenwänden. Jede Querwand 8 steht dabei etwa senkrecht vom Steg 3 ab und verbindet die beiden Schenkel 2. Die Schenkel 2 überragen die Querwände 8; der Steg 3 ist zB im wesentlichen gerade mit abgerundeten Übergängen zu den Schenkeln 2. Wiederum sind bereits eingebettete Fremdhaare 6 gezeigt, die sich mit ihren Enden in den Schenkeln 2 und dem Steg 3 befinden. Bei der Applikation werden die Eigenhaarenden (nicht dargestellt) in Bezug auf Fig. 3 von oben etwa parallel zu den Fremdhaaren 6 in das U-Profil eingelegt, so dass sie auf der Stirnseite der Querwände 8 aufliegen. Dann erfolgt die Verpressung (Druck mit oder ohne Temperatureinwirkung) des Haarverbindungselementes 7, wodurch die Schmelzklebung zustande kommt, wobei die Querwände 8 relativ stark zum Fließen gebracht werden und so die Eigenhaare gut ummanteln.
Fig. 4 zeigt schließlich ein Haarverbindungselement 9, das sowohl eine Längswand 4 als auch beispielsweise drei Querwände 8 aufweist. Die Fremdhaare sind bei dieser Ausführungsform zB nur in den Schenkeln 2 und in der Längswand 4, nicht jedoch in den Steg 3 eingebettet worden. Die Anwendung dieses Haarverbindungselementes 9 erfolgt wie bereits beschrieben. Die erhaltbare Schmelzklebung vereinigt die Vorteile von Längs- und Querwänden 4 bzw. 8.

Claims (6)

  1. U-förmiges, thermoplastisches Haarverbindungselement, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass zwischen den Schenkeln (2) des U-Profils wenigstens eine Zwischenwand (4; 8) vorgesehen ist.
  2. Haarverbindungselement nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Zwischenwand als Längswand (4) ausgeführt ist, die im wesentlichen parallel zu den Schenkeln (2) des U-Profils verläuft und von dessen Steg (3) absteht.
  3. Haarverbindungselement nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Zwischenwand als Querwand (8) ausgeführt ist, die im wesentlichen quer zu den Schenkeln (2) und senkrecht auf den Steg (3) des U-Profils verläuft und diese miteinander verbindet.
  4. Haarverbindungselement nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass wenigstens zwei Zwischenwände (4, 8) vorgesehen sind, von denen wenigstens eine als zwischen den Schenkeln (2) des U-Profils im wesentlichen parallel verlaufende und von dessen Steg (3) abstehende Längswand (4) und wenigstens eine als die Schenkel (2) verbindende und senkrecht auf den Steg (3) stehende Querwand (8) ausgeführt ist.
  5. Haarverbindungselement nach Anspruch 2 oder 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Längswand (4) die Schenkel (2) überragt.
  6. Haarverbindungselement nach Anspruch 3 oder 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Schenkel (2) die Querwand (8) überragen.
