Abstract

The present invention relates to a hair extension in which false hair 10 has strands of hair of a predetermined length of which the top ends are bonded to each other to form an attachment portion 12, two bundles of false hair 10 being interconnected via a connection string 40, wherein the connection string 40 is tied with a separate rubber string 30. The hair extension of the present invention decreases the thickness of the joint between the human hair and the false hair to achieve aesthetic enhancement, and prevents the length of the hair extensions from being shortened while applying the hair extensions so as to provide hair extensions with the desired length. The present invention minimizes the changes in posture of a worker applying hair extensions, thereby reducing fatigue of the worker and shortening the working time. The present invention also ensures the firm attachment of hair extensions after applying the hair extensions, thereby improving the reliability of work, and further prevents damage to the hair extensions during application, thereby enabling the reuse of the hair extensions after the hair extensions are removed from the human hair.

Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD
  • The present invention relates to a hair extension, and more particularly, to a hair extension which enables an easy and quick application, and is attached to hair in a desired length as its length is not reduced even after the application to hair, and is reusable and cost-effective.
  • BACKGROUND ART
  • A hair extension is used to make hair longer or enrich. The hair extension is applied to hair by bonding false hair in a predetermined thickness and then tying and connecting the false hair to the human hair, and is widely used for aesthetic purposes.
  • The structure and application process of the hair extension will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. FIG. 1 illustrates an example of a conventional hair extension. FIG. 2 illustrates a process of applying the conventional hair extension to the human hair.
  • As shown in FIG. 1, the conventional hair extension forms a false hair 10 which has strands of hair of a predetermined length of which top ends are bonded to each other to form an attachment portion 12.
  • The process of applying the conventional hair extension to the human hair is as follows.
  • As shown in FIG. 2, the false hair 10 is bent and surrounds the human hair 20 in an area which is approximately 5 cm below the attachment portion 12. The bending length of the false hair 10 is the minimum length in which the hair is braided without difficulty as will be described later.
  • If the false hair 10 surrounds the human hair 20, upper and lower portions of the false hair 10 and the human hair 20 form three strands which are braided and interconnected. That is, if the false hair 10 and the human hair 20 are braided in a proper length, they are bound by an additional rubber string 30 not to be unbraided, thereby fixing the false hair 10 to the human hair 20.
  • As the false hair 10 and the human hair 20 contact each other directly, they are considerably slippery. If the rubber string 30 is tied around the false hair 10 and the human hair 20 at least five times, a desired coupling force may be ensured.
  • After the rubber string 30 is tied, an unnecessary part such as an end portion of the rubber string 30 and the attachment portion 12 are removed. The remainder of the attachment portion 12 is curved during the braiding process and protrudes to the outside frequently. This harms an external appearance and takes long longer time to dry the hair since the unnecessary part is wet after the hair is washed. In that regard, removing the remainder of the attachment portion 12 is essential.
  • The application of the hair extension is completed as above. However, the application of the hair extension using the conventional false hair 10 has the following problems.
  • First, the part which is about 5 cm below the attachment portion 12 is bent to be braided with the human hair 20, in which case the false hair 10 and the human hair 20 are interconnected and the thickness thereof is thicker. The braided part protrudes to the outside when the application is completed, and the external appearance deteriorates.
  • Second, as described above, if the part which is about 5 cm below the attachment portion 12 is bent to be braided with the human hair 20, the length of the false hair 10 is reduced by at least 5 cm from its original length. Generally, the false hair 10 is priced by length, and thus false hair which is at least 5 cm longer than a desired length should be used, and a user should bear the material cost which increases as much as the increased length.
  • Third, the false hair 10 is braided with the human hair 20 and is fixed by a rubber string 30, in which case a user should change his/her posture frequently to pick up the rubber string 30 and tie the hair with the rubber string 30, thereby taking long time and obstructing a smooth work. That is, applying the hair extension to the human hair is a delicate work and takes long time, and a user may feel more fatigue due to a frequent change of posture and delay in the working time.
  • Fourth, the false hair 10 and the human hair 20 are slippery in its nature. Accordingly, during the braid work, the false hair 10 and the human hair 20 do not produce the friction force and thus the work is not easy. This makes the application of the hair extension more difficult, in particular, for a beginner, and takes longer time even if the work is conducted. Further, as the false hair 10 and the human hair 20 are slippery, if the time of tying the rubber string 30 around the hair for a finishing is not sufficient, the friction force is not ensured sufficiently. Thus, a user should tie the rubber string 30 at least five times around the hair to secure the coupling strength to a desired degree. This also results in increase in the working time for the hair extension.
  • Fifth, the conventional false hair 10 is standardized and manufactured in a predetermined length. If a user desires enriched hair, he/she should apply a number of false hair 10. That is, for the hair enrichment, a plurality of false hair 10 should be bonded to one another, and the conventional false hair 10 does not have the configuration to be interconnected and a user should not apply the hair extension at a time.
  • Lastly, as described above, after the braiding work is completed, the rubber string 30 is tied and the unnecessary part such as the attachment portion 12 is removed. However, if the attachment portion 12 is removed, reusing the hair extension is not easy or is applied in a reduced length even if reused.
  • DISCLOSURE Technical Problem
  • The present invention has been made to solve the problems and it is an object of the present invention to provide a hair extension which has a part connecting the human hair and a false hair being thin in thickness, improves an external appearance, secures an original length during an application process, minimizes change of user's posture and his/her fatigue, reduces working time, has the false hair firmly fixed to the human hair after the application to thereby improve reliability, and ensures a reuse after being disconnected from the hair without damage.
  • Advantageous Effect
  • As described above, a hair extension according to the present invention has a part connecting the human hair and a false hair being thin in thickness, improves an external appearance, secures an original length during an application process, minimizes change of user's posture and his/her fatigue, reduces working time, has the false hair firmly fixed to the human hair after the application to thereby improve reliability, and ensures a reuse after being disconnected from the hair without damage.

  • BEST MODE
  • To achieve the foregoing objective, the present invention provides a hair extension in which a false hair is formed by connecting top ends to each other and forming an attachment portion in a predetermined length and connecting the false hair by a connection string.
  • Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to FIGS. 3 to 7. Prior to the detailed description, FIGS. 2 and 7 are exemplary embodiments of the present invention to express the braid configuration and do not limit the connection method of the false hair and the human hair thereto.
  • FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a hair extension according to the present invention.
  • As shown therein, the hair extension according to the present invention includes a false hair 10 which has strands of hair of a predetermined length of which top ends are bonded to each other to form an attachment portion 12, and a connection string 40 which is additionally provided and connects the false hair 10.
  • The false hair 10 may employ artificial hair and the human hair, and has hair in predetermined length of which top ends are bonded by an adhesive or silicon to form the attachment portion 12. As the attachment portion 12 is formed, the false hair 10 is connected in a predetermined thickness.
  • The connection string 40 connects at least two false hair 10, and may include a thin thread or rubber string. Opposite ends of the connection string 40 are bonded to the attachment portion 12 to thereby connect the two false hair 10.
  • When the hair extension according to the present invention is formed, two bundles of the false hair 10 which is interconnected by the attachment portion 12 is provided and the connection string 40 is connected to the attachment portion 12, which is used for applying the hair extension to the hair at a beauty salon, etc.
  • The connection string 40 may be firmly tied with an additional rubber string 30 to make the two bundles of the false hair 10 to dangle. The rubber string 30 is used for applying the hair extension to the hair, and is applied by being tied and firmly maintains the fixing state of the hair extension.
  • Preferably, the rubber string 30 is tied with the center of the connection string 40. This makes the bundles of the false hair 10 symmetrical to each other when the hair extension is applied.
  • The attachment portion 12 according to the present exemplary embodiment is made by a silicon composition including components in Table 1 below.

  • The process of manufacturing the attachment portion 12 will be described briefly with reference to FIG. 4.
  • As shown therein, after the desired number of strands of false hair 10 is arranged one by one, the silicon composition in Table 1 is applied to a part of the false hair 10 by a predetermined applying device, and the connection string 40 is put on the false hair 10 where the silicon composition is semi-dried. Then, one side of the false hair 10 is folded to the inside in half and then the other side thereof is folded to the inside to thereby connect the connection string 40 to the inside of the false hair 12. FIG. 4 illustrates the silicon composition applied to one side of the false hair 10 but the silicon composition may be applied to both sides thereof to improve the attachment degree. Then, the attachment portion 12 is formed.
  • FIGS. 5 and 6 illustrate another hair extension according to the present invention.
  • With the foregoing configuration, the hair extension according to the present invention has the attachment portion 12 of which an end portion is formed with a ring 14 unlike the foregoing exemplary embodiment. That is, a thread is bonded to the end of the attachment portion 12 to form a ring 14 and the connection string 40 is tied with the ring 14 to thereby form the hair extension according to the present invention.
  • With the foregoing configuration, even if several strands of the false hair 10 is connected to one end of the connection string 40, the connection string 40 is tied with the ring 14 and a number of strands of the false hair 10 may be easily interconnected by a single connection string 40.
  • If the ring 14 is formed as above, the connection string 40 is preferably formed in a ring and connected to the ring 14. As the connection string 40 is formed in a ring, it may be tied with the ring 14 instead of being connected to the ring 14 by an adhesive and is firmly attached thereto.
  • The connection string 40 which is formed in a ring may be tied with the additional rubber string 30. According to the foregoing configuration, the hair extension is applied while the connection string 40 is tied, thereby firmly maintaining the fixing state of the hair extension.
  • Hereinafter, the process of applying the hair extension with the foregoing configuration will be described.
  • FIG. 7 illustrates the process of applying the hair extension according to the present invention.
  • As described above, when a user applies the hair extension according to the present invention, he/she separates the human hair 20 to which the hair extension is to be applied, in predetermined amount with his/her hand and puts the human hair 20 to the front of the central part of the connection string 40. Then, three strands of hair, including two strands of false hair 10 and one strand of the human hair 20, are formed and interconnected.
  • The rubber string 30 which is tied with the connection string 40 is braided with the two strands of the false hair 10. Then, the rubber string 30 is braided together with the human hair 20, and contacts the human hair 20 and maximizes the friction force. This prevents the braided part from being slippery and separated.
  • Hair is considerably slippery, and even the skilled person may find difficult to braid the false hair 10 with the thin human hair 20. However, if the rubber string 30 is braided with the false hair 10, user's fingers cause the friction force with the rubber string 30 and the rubber string 30 is not slippery and even a beginner may easily braid hair.
  • If the hair is braided in certain length according to the foregoing process, the remainder of the rubber string 30 is firmly tied to the end of the braided part not to be unbraided. As the rubber string 30 is braided also, the friction force is sufficiently ensured and the rubber string 30 may be tied just one time to fix the hair instead of being tied several times. As a result, the finishing work is simplified and a more efficient work is available compared to the convention work for which the rubber string 30 is tied several times.
  • If the tying operation of the rubber string 30 is completed, the end of the rubber string 30 which unnecessarily dangles is removed by scissors to thereby complete the application of the hair extension. In this case, the attachment portion 12 does not protrude to the outside and naturally dangles even if it is not removed.
  • With the foregoing configuration, the connection string 40 is braided with the human hair 20 during the application process and the false hair 10 maintains its original length or becomes longer as much as the length increased by the connection string 40.
  • Also, the braid work is conducted by using the thin connection string 40, and the thickness of the connection part may be minimized and the external appearance is neatly arranged even after the completion of the application.
  • Further, as the rubber string 30 is connected to the connection string 40, a user does not need to change his/her posture to pick up the rubber string 30 during the application process to thereby minimize a user's fatigue and improve the work speed.
  • The rubber string 30 is connected to the human hair 20 together with the false hair 10 to thereby prevent the braided part from being slippery and separated. As a user's hand contacts the rubber string 30, it does not slide and a prompt work is available and even a beginner may easily perform the work.
  • At the time of application of the hair extension, the attachment portion 12 which is formed in the false hair 10 does not need to be removed, and thus the false hair 10 is not damaged and can be reused even after the hair extension is removed from hair. When the hair extension is reused, it does not change in length.
  • According to the present invention, the rubber string 30 is tied with the connection string 40 to be braided altogether, but not limited thereto. Alternatively, the rubber string 30 may be provided separately and only the connection string 40 may be braided with the human hair 20 and a user may pick up and tie the rubber string 30. In this case, if the connection string 40 includes an elastic material, the friction force may be maximized and the braid work may be performed efficiently.
  • INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
  • Although a few exemplary embodiments have been shown and described, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these exemplary embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the invention, the range of which is defined in the appended claims and their equivalents.
